Monique works with Precious Metal Clay a versatile material consisting of tiny particles of fine silver mixed with organic binders. When fired in a kiln at high temperatures, the binders burn off, and the fine silver particles fuse together to form a solid and 99.9% pure piece of silver. In recent years, she started to learn the art of enameling. Being drawn to vibrant color, this was a natural progression of her artistic expression. Monique now combines it with her metal work through the art of Cloisonné and Champlevé techniques. As a jewelry artist, she continues to travel on this amazing journey of creativity, always eager to learn a new technique that will enhance her designs.
